Becky

Oct 05, 2020

Becky is a sweet and beautiful girl! She is tall and weighs about 70 lbs. She is 6 yrs old and has been in our rescue way too long - you might be asking why -- We think it's because she doesn't love all potential dog friends, or cats, and because she is a big strong girl. She absolutely loves her people though, and would be great in a family that doesn't need their dog to be social. She is strong and active and is definitely not a couch potato. She might be a great sports dog too! Becky would love a home where someone is there most of the time, and active. She's got oodles of energy and can be clingy with her chosen person. She loves riding in the car. She can get a little over-excited about going for rides. Becky is super smart, she figures out the doggy puzzles easily. She needs a variety of things to keep her brain stimulated. When she bonds with a human, big or small, she starts to play and snuggle and even be a silly girl. At first she can be a little nervous but reassurance and treats go a long way. She’s a big chewer so she needs toys designed for a busy girl. Becky loves the outdoors and would be a great hiking companion. She needs your full attention when walking though, as small critters and birds or a far-off scent get her excited. She prefers to be gated off rather than crated but she can jump a 4 ft gate easily. And Becky can not live with feline friends as she was too over-interested in cats. Becky is not a dog for first time dog owners, and is not for a family with small children. Older kids who can keep her busy may be great for her!

Becky is looking for a forever home where she can relax and have a great time. She would love to soak up the attention as an "only child" and once she bonds with you, she will reward you with unconditional love.
