DCM, the FDA, and Dog Food-the Science and the Hype with Canine Nutritionist Linda Case

By Don Hanson | Aug 08, 2019

PLEASE SHARE – When I first posted on the issue of dilated cardiomyopathy (DCM), pet food, and the FDA investigation last year I promised I would keep you up to date with all of the latest useful information. This post is my most recent attempt to do just that.

Yesterday, Kate and I interviewed Canine Nutritionist, Linda Case on The Woof Meow Show discussing this very issue and some additional information that has become available in the last couple of weeks. Linda is the author of The Science Dog by Linda P. Case blog as well as several books.

The show, DCM, the FDA, and Dog Food-the Science and the Hype with Canine Nutritionist Linda Case, will air on Z62 Retro Radio, AM620, and WKIT HD3 at 9 AM on Saturday, August 10th. However, due to the critical nature of this information, I have decided to release the podcast before it is broadcast on Saturday.

You can access the podcast, as well as several essential links on my Words, Woofs, & Meows blog at http://bit.ly/Blog-DCM-FDA-8AUG19

DCM is a serious and complex issue. If you want to learn more than what you have heard on the nightly news, I encourage you to take the time to listen to the podcast AND to explore the links I have provided. You will learn that the information provided in the mass media, and in some cases, veterinary journals, may not have been as accurate and may even have been misinterpreted.
