Mocha has been looking for her forever home since November 2019! She was surrendered to us during a week of freezing temperatures and snow. She had been kept tied outside almost 24/7, and was in danger of freezing to death. She was also abused by family members who threw rocks at her and beat her. We scrambled to take her in, and since then we’ve learned a lot about this sweet girl. She’s highly trainable, loving, playful, and has shown us how resilient she is. She’s 4 years old and weighs 60 pounds. She would like to be the only animal in the home, with only older kids. She’s insanely snuggly, and her favorite place to be is the couch or in bed with you! She’s versatile and just as happy to be going on hiking adventures as she is chilling on the couch. She loves car rides! She’d do best in a quiet household with not a lot going on. She likes to run around the yard and get her roomies out, so a fenced in yard is a strong recommendation. She loves just lounging in the sun and hanging out outside. She’s even good with baths and getting her nails trimmed! She’s crate trained but isn’t destructive in the home at all. She’s EXTREMELY intelligent and trainable, and is super food motivated! This girl is a rockstar with her tricks and has incredible impulse control- look at her waiting so patiently with a treat on her nose! This dog is one of a kind and when she knows you’re her person she’ll be your best friend for life.
