Veterinary Specialist

Dr. Gail Mason is a board-certified small animal internal medicine specialist. She has co-owned Bath-Brunswick Veterinary Associates since 1989. In 2001, she co-founded Portland Veterinary Specialists and Hypurrcat Radioactive iodine treatment center for for hyperthyroid felines. After an extremely successful 18 years, the practice in May 2019 merged with Animal Medical Specialty & Emergency Care in Portland, Maine. It is now known as Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care. Dr. Mason is Chief Medical Officer and staff internist for PVESC, and is also a beta-site investigator for the Idexx Corporation. She is proud and fortunate to work with a dedicated team of 15 veterinary specialists & a talented support team!
